Update
Well, they said she's be more awake from week 3 and they were right - she spends a lot of time just looking around and significantly more time demanding feeding! She has a good set of lungs. Still sleeping well at night though so I guess I can't complain to much. Tim went back to work yesterday so we are finding our feet and seeing how we will fill our days and fit in going out around feeds, changing and naps - it's a logistical challenge. We have made a few forays and been quite successful - shame I can't drive yet but at least can walk now healing up well. She has grown out of newborn babygrows and seems to get taller and fatter every day!

Firsts....
When you only a week old life is full of 'firsts': your first sight of a tree; your first walk in the garden; your first outing in a pram - everything is new and wondrous and as parents makes you look at things in a new light.
Tilly is doing fine - we have registered her birth so she is an official Tallulah May Andrew now. She has put on 6oz since leaving hospital and is in fine fettle - also finding her lungs which is 'nice'.

Just to fill you in on the details... Tallulah was a footling breach and so had to be delivered by c-section anyway - we tried to turn her using reflexology, acupuncture and standing on my head as well as medical methods - ECV - none of which worked. So I was booked in for today, Friday 19th (39+4), for an elective.
Spent last weekend cleaning the house after final building works and I am not sure if scrubbing floors had anything to do with it but waters broke at 7.45am on Monday morning in a rather spectacular manner. Was told to go immediately to hospital and so went through York Monday morning rush hour in the back of the car with my bum in the air telling Tim to run red lights (I was having contractio
ons by this stage!) - he ignored me. Got to Hospital and all was fine with her so went in and had a c-section which I have to say was a wholly positive experience. Got home (finally) on Thursday evening and we are both doing well.
Now we are home and the real work begins.... but she is lovely and our hearts melt each time we look at her.

Immy's 1st birthday
The weather was sunny and the garden was blloming. Immy had her pink knickers on and was flashing them happily to the world while eating a rather fabulous birthday tea of sausages, fairy cakes and choccy cake - what else?
Nice to see the family while still ' solo'... next time....

Janine's wedding: 22nd April 2006
Feeling like a ship in full sail we headed down to London for a 'last weekend' before the birth to celebrate the wedding of Janine and Chris. Spent the morning at NCT learning to breastfeed teddy bears (and that was just Tim) and then we rushed to catch the train and made it just in time to get changed and waddle the mile or so from the hotel to the venue (which took about 30 mins in my heels!).
Lovely to see everyone: the weather was really nice and sunny and it felt like the first day of summer - a great day for a wedding. Janine looked truly fabulous in a really glamorous dress and of course ' the MTGS girls' looked pretty damn hot to. Unlike me who was just - literally - hot. Still nice to see everyone. The speeched were very moving - especially Chris's - and there was a real joie de vivre about everything.
Ooh we do love a good wedding!
