We are sailing (sing along...)

We have just got back from a very relaxing week sailing in Turkey - from Gocek to Marmaris with Setsail (www.setsail.co.uk). Tim was doing his RYA competant crew but was so good he got his day skipper (non-tidal)! We had a skipper on theboat - Rob from Brixton - which could have been quite hard but he was really nice and we all got on well. His sister was also out that week so we all got on well. Very impressed with Turkey - food great, people kind and everywhere spotless - quite pricey though and they do seem to think eveyone wants Turkish Delight or carpets.... We spent a few nights in little one restaurant bays inaccesible by car so that was really special. Not a huge amount of wind but we managed quite a bit of sailing nevertheless. And we saw Dolphins!!! They came and swam with the boat - quite rare in that area apparently so a real thrill. Have to do some more sailing now in more challenging conditions!

Scotland: gourmet break

Well, it's been a while but that's really as we have been pretty busy rushing aorund and not really taking any pictures. We didmanage to make it to Scotland in the August bank holiday for a really lovely long weekend at Knockinnaam Lodge (http://www.knockinaamlodge.com/) which I can highlt recommend to anyone: a wee bit pricey but worth it for the food, hosts and 'get away from it all' feeling. All very lovely.
