Family fun
Visit from the Kerr's en masse - supposed to be a BBQ but weather really bad and so we had a BBQ in the lounge - good old Tim struggled away outside!
Imogen (newest niece) now looking very lovely and smiley with her Beckham-esque hairstyle. Check out their blog on http://kerrgirls.blogspot.com/ which has more pics of the delighful trio!
Just heard Lucy (see post below) is now engaged to Malcolm and so that is really and truly exciting - ding dong. Ah if only we could do it all again!

DIY
So, July 17th and our wedding anniversary. 80%. Sunshine. What are we doing? DIY (well actually it seems I'm on the computer and tim is doing DIY but there you go, I've been busy too). He was delighted when I took this picture as you can see... but the job is finished and we are now the proud owners of a painted and tiled utility room. Oh Joy.
Ireland...
Summer hols: we spent 9 days in Ireland. Great food, good people, mediochre weather (it perked up towards the end) and some good walking. 3 days in Skibereen; 3 days in the most fantastic place called Tahilla Cove (www.tahillacove.com) where we walked the 2 springer spaniels - Monty and Harry - daily; I swam in the sea (Tim is a woose) and we pottered around on the coast; and 4 days on the dingle penninsula at another top spot (www.gormans-clifftophouse.com). Went up Ireland's 2nd highest mountain (mt Brandon); did a 20km walk on the Dingle Way; did a great circuit on my birthday (5th July - thanks you very much!), despite the drizzle. The walking is good but not as much infrastructure as some places and you have to look for the walks - but less people too, so it's all swings and roundabouts. The seafood is just marvellous and we ate like pigs for 10 days!! But, hey, seafood is healthy, right? Can highly recommend Out of the Blue in Dingle and Packies in Kentmere. Spent too much but there you go. Not sure I'd go back but glad we went.
