Autumn!!!

Autumn

What a fantastic Autumn we've had so far! Tilly went to her first Halloween fancy dress party (as a spider) and is very good at brushing up leaves (as you can see from the pics). I also went to Japan for a week which was hard but rewarding from a work perpective and Tilly now has a great outfit and a hello Kitty toy.... We also ran a 10k in October that was hard work but we raised a lot of money for charity so were pretty chuffed.
Other than that, all is fine here and feeling that sense of inevitability as we hurtle towards Xmas...

It's been a while....

We've been in between computers and with Tim starting work again and Tilly going to nursery (3 days) frankly it's a miracle we get anything done! However we have also managed to have some fun with a recent trip to Spain for a lovely wedding (another Spanish wedding!) and a nice end of summer. Tilly is 16 months and getting a very cheeky little personality - she is running around and saying lots of words which is very sweet. She seems to be settling well at nursery and actually enjoying it quite a lot. She is always tired at the end of the day. She is still tall and slender and climbs like a monkey - think she may be a rock climber :-) We stayed in Ronda which is great and the hotel was really good (www.alaveradelosbanos.com in case you are ever in the vicinity) - Tallulah particularly liked all the food: spicy chorizo was a favourite!

Walking

Tilly is now walking - ahhhh. She has lost her zimmer-frame walker and gone solo :-)

Holidays in Cornwall

It is a sad indicment of this summer that one of Tallaulah's first words was 'rain' - which she applies to all wet / water based items, including puddles and showers (not baths though which have sufficient identify to warrent their own word...'baah').

Holiday was great - really good location / place to stay (http://www.penquitefarm.co.uk/ if you are interested - can recommend :-)) though weather was frankly rubbish. Mum, Dad, me, Tim, Adrian, Sarah, Isabelle, Natasha, Imogen and Tallulah in one place, in the rain, and we survived so that was a good reflection on the holiday!

We also celebrated Sarah's 40th and Tilly first experience of a beach - the former being the more momentus occasion of course. Though Tilly did like the beach.

Viva Espana...! and Muppets

Where to start.. due to go to Spain for our good friends Stuart and Victoria's wedding.. I say due as Tim - at 5pm on the Friday before we were due to go realised he didn't have his passport as he had sent it off as proof of ID. Genius. So having exhausted all other options and debated what to do I set off with Tallulah on our own little adventure to Spain. A 3 hour flight with a VERY wriggly baby is not the way forward. But we had fun in Spain and it was nice to catch up with the people we stayed with (4 couples from Bradford - well three and me and Tilly) and I hope she wasn't too much trouble. The bride looked lovely (and I will hopefully get some pictures of her) and the reception was lovely - at Victoria's parent house. Glad to be back though. Tim didn't even do all of the jobs he was tasked with :-)

The Big Number 1...

Tilly was 1 on the 15th May - can't imagine where the time has gone but then that is what everyone says. I took the day off work and we went over to my parents in Formby - nice time was had by all! Tilly liked her presents - and inevitably the boxes - but the overall winner was the balloons which she simply loved! and the chocolate cake....
